Hot and Not selling items
To be able to start an eBay business you need a product that sells well. On Ebay, there are very specific items that are great sellers – you just have to find out what those items are. There are many ways to find out this information. Some people spend hours developing their own (complicated) system to detect hot selling items, others pay fortunes buying expensive courses that’ll teach them how to do it. Don’t make the same mistake; the only things you need are your eyes and the eBay web site. First there
is eBay Marketplace Research, where you can view statistical information
on buying trends at eBay. Whatever data you need, eBay MarketPlace Research
has got it. Unfortunately, eBay charges a fee for using these tools. When you don’t want to spend any money (yet), you
really need to check out eBay Pulse. Here you can find several lists,
showing you what the most popular searches, stores and products are, and
which are the most watched items. You can overlook the whole eBay marketplace,
or you can filter the lists to show the results of specific eBay categories. If you want to see what a particular item has sold for you can search by completed listings. Searching by completed listings will show you all listings that have ended within the last 15 days. To get to this information, click the ‘advanced search’ link located at the top of most eBay pages. Enter your keywords and select the ‘Completed listings only’ checkbox. Click ‘search’. Now you know about the key to a successful auction. Bay
works in peculiar ways: while some of the strangest things sell for the
highest prices, other items that would probably sell quickly in another
environment just sit there. So don’t think you can easily skip this
step; the amount of research you put into the items you hope to sell is
vital for succeeding on eBay Useful links:
